U.S. wants to recruit 250,000 tutors to address pandemic learning gap

The United States is launching a large-scale effort to recruit 250,000
tutors for elementary and high school students across the country.

The White House says many students have fallen behind as a result of
school closures during the coronavirus pandemic.
