US Supreme Court judge jokes about abortion ruling criticism from foreign leaders

A conservative member of the US Supreme Court has mocked world leaders who condemned a controversial ruling last month overturning abortion rights in America.

Speaking at a conference in Rome, Justice Samuel Alito brushed off criticism from several prominent figures, including outgoing UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who Mr Alito claims "paid the price" for his opposition to the verdict.

From Washington, Benji Hyer reports.
