One of Europe's biggest sources of gas has been switched back on - after its Russian operator shut it down for ten days of maintenance.
The decision to turn off Nord Stream 1 - an undersea pipeline that connects Russia to Northern Germany - had been seen in Berlin as a political move by Moscow to put pressure on the country - as Europe scrambles to find alternative sources of energy ahead of the winter.
