The UK's Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee has released a report in which it branded the energy regulator OFGEM 'negligent'.
The report recommended that the UK government changes its 'out of date' energy bill with the price of bills increasing for ordinary people across the country.
Ministers were also asked to consider getting rid of the energy price cap and replace it with a discounted social tariff for those most vulnerable.
Matt Copeland from National Energy action says mistakes have been made and that the support package offered by the government isn't enough.
