NORWEGIAN GOVERNMENT ENDS GAS WORKER STRIKE TO AVOID SHORTAGES

Fearing an energy supply crunch across Europe - the Norwegian Government has stepped in to end a strike of its country's offshore oil and gas workers. 

With Russia reducing gas exports - Norway's role supplying gas to Europe has taken on added importance - meaning government officials overruled unions who had planned industrial action.
