Joe Biden will visit the Middle East for the first time as US President tomorrow (Wednesday), with a trip to Israel, the Palestinian territories and Saudi Arabia, where he'll attend the Summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council, a union of Saudi Arabia's neighbouring countries.
The timing is crucial, with the White House urging greater oil production from Gulf states with the aim of pushing down prices, which reached record highs in the US following a ban on Russian imports.
From Washington, Benji Hyer reports.
