Japan plans Abe state funeral for September amid criticism

The Japanese government will hold a state funeral for former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the end of September.  

Abe was fatally shot earlier this month on the campaign trail in an incident that has  shocked the nation. 

But the funeral plan has come under attack for using taxpayers' money.
