French opposition politicians have called on the president to provide a full explanation after the leak of the so-called 'Uber files' to 42 international publications such as the British newspaper, the Guardian.
One far-left MP says he is considering the creation of a parliamentary commission of inquiry to look into the matter further, after Emmanuel Macron was said to have helped Uber get a foothold in the French market via undisclosed meetings.
