The European Space Agency has abandoned a joint mission to Mars with Russia in response to Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.
After suspending collaboration in March, the head of ESA, Josef Aschbacher, called time on the "ExoMars" mission, with the circumstances surrounding the suspension looking set to continue.
