China's President Xi Jinping has defended his policy of ruling Hong Kong since the city's handover from Britain 25 years ago.
He says the "one country, two systems" policy works and gives Hong Kong a high degree of autonomy.
China, though, has been criticised for a series of reforms that blockade some forms of free speech, which many young people in the city are unhappy about.
