Steve Bannon, Donald Trump's political strategist, has been convicted of "contempt of Congress" over his refusal to appear before a Congressional committee investigating last year's insurrection by Trump supporters on Capitol Hill.
Jury deliberations took less than three hours and Mr Bannon now faces the possibility of thousands of dollars in fines fines and up to two years in jail.
