GERMANY RAISES ALARM LEVEL OVER GAS SUPPLIES

The German Government is calling on citizens to significantly reduce their energy use - as the country tries to conserve gas ahead of the winter. 

Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck said to help preserve gas, he would be officially raising the level of alarm in the country's energy grid - as Europe's biggest economy struggles with  potential shortfalls following Russia's decision to throttle supplies.
