The European Court of Human Rights has ruled against a UK plan to send
asylum seekers to Rwanda.
The 11th hour ruling grounded the first flight that was scheduled to
leave Britain late on Tuesday night.
Lawyers for seven asylum seekers who were due to be deported made an
emergency application to the Court after failed appeals in the UK.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had promised to fly thousands of
asylum seekers 4,000 miles to the east African country.
Mr Johnson remained determined to continue with the planned removals.
