Bank of England raises rates, warns of 10% inflation and economic contraction

The Bank of England has raised interest rates to 1 percent, the highest level in more than a decade.

The UK's central bank also warned the British economy is facing a double whammy: inflation rising to 10 percent and an economic contraction in 2023.
