The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky has reached out to the African Union seeking support in his country's war with Russia.
The chairperson of the AU, the president of Senegal Macky Sall, says he spoke to the Ukrainian president on phone and noted his request to address the African Union.
Africa has been divided over condemnation of Russia after its invasion of Ukraine.
