Putin's daughters and others sanctioned by US

The two adult daughters of Russian President Vladimir Putin are now being sanctioned over the war in Ukraine.


The announcement was made by the Biden administration today….part of a raft of new measures aimed at choking off the Russian economy and the ability of Kremlin insiders to access their wealth.


Also today, the Department of Justice sanctioned a leading Russian oligarch and announced it has disrupted a Russian-controlled malware network that was poised to attack western computer systems.


Attorney General Merrick Garland with an uncompromising message today:

And he also announced that the Department of Justice is now probing war crimes allegedly committed by Russian forces in Ukraine.


The evidence continues to mount:  a Ukrainian government minister today claimed Russia is using mobile crematoria to dispose of bodies in the besieged Black Sea port of Mariupol.


Ukraine's deputy prime minister has urged people living in the eastern region of the country to leave while they can….amid fears that the Russians are now planning large scale attacks around the disputed cities of Donetsk and Luhansk.


NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is hosting a 2-day summit of foreign ministers in Brussels.
