Biden touts infrastructure law and tightens environmental scrutiny relaxed by Trump

As US President Biden begins a week of trips designed to sell his new infrastructure legislation to voters, his administration has announced it is restoring environmental protections to a law governing construction, which had been curbed by his predecessor.


The Trump administration got rid of the environmental review process for many building projects, arguing it would reinvigorate the economy.
