Threats against election officials rise over baseless fraud claims

US local election officials are increasingly concerned about facing threats fuelled by false allegations of voter fraud in the last Presidential race, according to a national survey published on Thursday. 


It says that one in five of these officials are "somewhat" or "very unlikely" to stay in their jobs through the 2024 contest.
