INTRO:
At least 18 people displaced by violence have been killed by militiamen in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Authorities say the armed men stormed a church where the people had sought refuge and shot them. The mineral-rich province of Ituri has seen an increase in attacks against civilians since 2017.
Chris Ocamringa reports from the DRC capital, Kinshasa.
