A spokesman for Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has confirmed reports that he suffered from an unexplained illness earlier this month after participating in early-stage talks in Kyiv about negotiations with the Russians.
The Wall Street Journal newspaper reports that Mr. Abramovich along with two Ukrainian negotiators suffered from eyesight and skin issues after the meeting.
Mr. Abramovich received medical attention in Turkey after temporarily losing his sight.
The Ukrainian negotiators claim the men were poisoned by hardliners in Russia seeking to torpedo the talks.
