France has become the latest European country to loosen COVID-19 restrictions. The omicron variant is currently dominant in the country, which on Monday recorded more than 400,000 new cases. Across the European Union, many national governments are cautiously taking steps toward reopening society. From Brussels, Rosie Birchard reports.
