The United Kingdom has imposed economic sanctions on five Russian banks and three high-net-worth individuals. The measures are said to be the first in a 'barrage' that Prime Minister Boris Johnson says aim to hit those supporting what he called 'Russia's war machine.'
Mr Johnson set out the plan in parliament.
