Federal Reserve signals interest rate rise in mid-March to ease inflation

The U.S. Federal Reserve has not yet changed interest rates after two days of meetings, but it has signaled intention to raise them in mid-March.


The central bank's stimulus program, part of economic recovery from the pandemic, will conclude in time for the change.
