At least 19 people have been killed in a fire that ripped through an apartment building in the Bronx.
The Mayor of New York says nine children are among the dead, and he's calling it one of the worst in the city's modern era.

The fire began at around 11am local time in a two story flat on the building’s 2nd and third floors.
It spread quickly throughout the building.
The city’s Mayor, Eric Adams, visited the scene.
