U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has told his cabinet that Omicron appears to be "more transmissible" than the previous Delta variant of the coronavirus.
However, Downing Street says there have not been any discussions about introducing tougher COVID restrictions, known as 'Plan B' in the U.K.
