UK GOVT URGED TO SUPPORT HOSPITALITY AMID OMICRON SURGE

Calls are growing in the UK for more support for sectors of the
economy being hit over concerns about the spread of the Omicron covid
variant.

England's Chief Medical Officer has urged people not to 'mix with
people you don't have to'.

Hospitality firms say bookings are falling sharply as a result of the
warnings about Omicron.

Cabinet minister Gillian Keegan says support is still available.
