India approves $10 billion incentive plan to attract global chip makers

India is offering semi-conductor makers incentives worth $10 billion to manufacture products in the country.

The move comes in the middle of a global chip shortage.

Analysts say this is the moment for the country to become a major player in the chip market that is currently dominated by China and the USA.
