US likens China hypersonic weapons test to "Sputnik moment"

Top US military commander General Mark Milley says China's testing of
a hypersonic weapon is "very concerning".

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff also said it was "very
close" to a Sputnik moment, a comparison to the start of the space
race in the 1950s.
