Japan: Contaminated Okinawa Moderna vaccines may contain rubber

Japan's Health Ministry has said that foreign materials found inside Moderna vaccines in Okinawa Prefecture may be fragments of rubber stoppers from the vials, and there was no issue with the quality of the batch.


The reassurance came after 1.63 million doses of Moderna vaccines distributed across Japan were suspended over fears of contamination.
