There are still questions about how many Americans and the Afghans who assisted them over the last two decades have been left behind.
The Biden administration says it has received assurances from the Taliban that people who want to leave Afghanistan will still be permitted to do so.
General McKenzie reflected on the difficult mission US and allied forces faced over the last 2 weeks at Kabul Airport.
