The king of South Africa’s Zulu nation is calling for an immediate return to law and order, to avoid plunging citizens further into poverty. Most of the country’s Zulu population lives in the two provinces impacted by widespread looting and vandalism since the weekend. He is also imploring citizens not to get drawn into racialized conflict with South Africa’s Indian community. Mark Roughton has details.
