South Africa’s highest court has found Jacob Zuma guilty of contempt of court and sentenced him to 15 months’ imprisonment. The former president defied an instruction from the Constitutional Court to appear before the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture, then chose not to defend the Commission’s application to find him guilty of contempt.
