UN Security Council extends arms embargo on South Sudan

The United Nations Security Council has adopted a resolution on extending an arms embargo on South Sudan, travel bans, and financial sanctions for targeted individuals suspected of perpetrating violence in the East African country.

The Security Council says the arms embargo is extended for a year and it will be reviewed in May next year.
