Japan to allow Myanmar citizens to stay after visas expire

Japan is preparing to allow students and technical interns from Myanmar to stay in the country even after their visas expire. The exemption would apply to those who face difficulty returning home following the coup in February. The country is also considering extending the status of two Myanmar diplomats.
