CRITICISM OVER UK GOVT VARIANT TRAVEL ADVICE

The UK government's being criticised over confusion about advice that people should not travel to and from covid-19 India variant hotspots.

It's emerged government guidance changed on Friday for several English areas with outbreaks of the variant.

But critics say that advice was not communicated widely to the public or even affected local authorities.
