FRANCE PREPARES FOR NEW LOCKDOWN

Travel restrictions are being put in place, but the government will allow people the Easter weekend to get to where they then want to spend lockdown.

Schools are closing for at least three weeks, and all non-essential shops will close from Saturday.

Paris correspondent Peter Allen says President Emmanuel Macron had been trying to resist a new lockdown.
