BORIS JOHNSON HOSTS TALKS OPPOSING SUPER LEAGUE

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is meeting football officials and fans' representatives on Tuesday to discuss ways to stop the proposed break-away European Super League.

He says the plans are 'ludicrous' and is pledging government intervention if it's required.

12 clubs have agreed to join the Super League, from which they would never be relegated.

European governing body UEFA is also opposed to the plans.

UK Education Secretary Gavin Williamson says it can't be allowed to go ahead.
