The highly anticipated results of a U.S. trial of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine confirm the shot is safe and 79 per cent effective.
More than 32,000 volunteers took part in the study in America, Chile and Peru- and concluded there are no safety concerns involving blood clots.
The news follows a recent EU pause to the AstraZeneca vaccine amid concerns about a possible link, which has been categorically refuted now by the EU’s own regulators.
