US stocks finished in negative territory Wednesday, despite some optimism earlier in the trading session.
Investors were betting on a sustained rebound in industrials, as the pace of COVID-19 vaccinations pick up, and with upbeat news from the Federal Reserve.
But that optimism slipped in the last moments.
