The World Bank, United Nations and South Sudan's government have launched cash transfers to individuals in the country to try and mitigate financial challenges posed by COVID-19.
The World Bank is providing a grant of $40 million to the government for the project known as South Sudan Safety Net, the program is scheduled to run for two year.
