ROYAL FAMILY TAKING RACE ISSUES 'SERIOUSLY'

The UK government is refusing to be drawn on whether the Royal Family should go further in addressing race issues.

Buckingham Palace released a statement saying allegations made by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in an interview with Oprah Winfrey are 'concerning' and taken 'very seriously'.

But the Palace only commits to addressing the issues privately.

The statement also declined to mention mental health concerns raised by Meghan.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps says the government won't involve itself in Royal Family affairs.
