BORIS JOHNSON TO RECEIVE OXFORD JAB

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will receive an Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine dose on Friday.

Ministers and government scientists have been reassuring the public the jab is safe after some European countries paused their rollouts.

Over 25 million people in the UK have received a first vaccine dose, but the government is warning the pace of the programme will slow slightly in April due to supply issues.

Government minister Oliver Dowden says that's not because India is blocking exports - and it doesn't affect England's current plans for easing coronavirus lockdown.
