US Senate approves path forward for aid package

The US Senate has approved a plan to push President Joe Biden's $1.9
trillion stimulus package through Congress without Republican support.

The controversial resolution passed after an all-night session in the
chamber, with Vice President Kamala Harris giving the tie-breaker
vote.
