The UK government is block-booking thousands of hotel rooms to prepare for new quarantine measures for international arrivals.
From February 15th UK residents arriving from a designated list of covid-19 hotspots will face 10 day mandatory hotel quarantine at their own cost.
The government believes more than 1000 people a day will arrive in England from these locations and need to enter isolation in a hotel.
The opposition Labour Party is criticising the government for moving too slowly.
