US President Joe Biden has called for a restoration of the transatlantic partnership in his first major international speech since taking office.
He spoke at the Munich Security Conference, after attending a virtual gathering of the G7 leaders, sending the message that "America is back" after four years of isolationism under Donald Trump.
President Biden also reaffirmed the US's commitment to NATO and said America needed to work with its European Allies on several foreign policy challenges.
Among them, tensions with China.
