US political historian describes "breathtaking day" in American history as Trump set to be impeached for second time

Impeachment proceedings are underway in Washington, with Democrats and some Republicans working to remove President Trump from office for his role in encouraging violent riots in the US capitol last week.


The vote later on Wednesday is expected to pass in the Democrat-led House, which would make Donald Trump the first US president to be impeached twice.
