Moderna says vaccine provides protection from Covid-19 variant

Covid-19 vaccine producer Moderna says it's working on developing a
booster shot to fight a variant of the virus first identified in South
Africa.

But the drug marker says its existing two-shot regimen does provide
protection against a couple of Covid-19 strains.
