British politicians have criticized the actions of US president Donald Trump after violent protests took place in Washington DC.
Trump addressed thousands of his supporters, urging them to 'be strong', shortly before the Capitol building was stormed by protesters.
Now, London Mayor Sadiq Khan, a long term critic of the President - has denounced Mr Trump's role leading up to the revolt.

Trump urged the protestors to 'go home in peace' in a recorded statement, but continued to make allegations of election fraud.
Following this, UK home secretary, Priti Patel, also criticised the president's words over the protest, which led to the deaths of four people.
