UK AND EU AIM FOR SUNDAY BREXIT DEADLINE

UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab says 'never say never' about Sunday being a final deadline for a Brexit trade deal.

Sunday was set as the new deadline for decisions to be made after a meeting in Brussels between European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Both sides say significant differences remain in their attempt to reach an agreement before the Brexit transition period expires at the end of the year.

However, negotiations continue.

Political Editor of The Financial Times, George Parker says if Boris Johnson can't reach a deal - he believes he'll be back at the negotiating table next year.
