MILLIONS MOVE INTO TOUGHER COVID RESTRICTIONS IN ENGLAND

34 million people across England will be in the toughest tier of coronavirus restrictions from Wednesday.

The whole of London, most of Essex and parts of Hertfordshire will move into Tier 3, following large rises in infection rates.

Thousands of pubs and restaurants will only be able to open for takeaways and deliveries - and indoor venues must close.

Craig Haskell, the CEO of the Royal Albert Hall, is now having to cancel 11 concerts before Christmas.
